Nice to meet you, I’m Leslie Schmidt – The Property Mama!
I grew up in beautiful Ventura, California. Not only am I
a Realtor® with Century 21 Everest, I’m also a friend,
a daughter, a sister, a mother, and I love to help people!
I attended local elementary and schools and graduated from Buena High School and Ventura College. As a single mom and full-time student for many years, I know first-hand how to work hard, be dedicated, passionate, and multi-task. I have an amazing husband and three beautiful children, two dogs, and a sassy cat!
I obtained Associates in Arts with Highest Honors,
Business Management, and Accounting Degrees from Ventura College. I ran my own bookkeeping business for many years: Hillside Bookkeeping, with clients from Santa Barbara to Westlake Village. You can count on me to be very professional, organized, timely, and detail-oriented,
but I’m also down-to-earth, creative, and easy to work with.
Having grown up in Ventura and lived in other areas of the community including North Oxnard and Downtown Ventura, I have a great local knowledge of neighborhoods, schools, parks, restaurants, and things to do around town. I’m great at understanding my clients and helping each person with their unique situation and needs.
My grandmother was a Realtor in Silver Strand Beach –
as a child, I spent many fun-filled days with her at her office and touring homes – I knew early on I would be in Real Estate someday. Our family also has several rental properties which I’ve managed for nearly a decade. In addition, I’ve managed numerous large-scale property renovations and updates between tenants as well as in my own homes. This gives me unique insight when it comes to getting your home ready for sale and the stress it can bring. I have a great team of local contractors I’ve vetted out over the years that I can count on to get the job done the right way, the first time! I’m here to help make that easy for you and guide you every step of the way.
At only 37 years old, I survived a rare form of pregnancy-related heart attack called a SCAD: Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection only 10 days after the birth of my third child. Having no prior health conditions before and nearly dying has given me a unique appreciation for life and dedication my family, my friends, and my hometown. Being a Realtor® will fulfill my life in many ways; knowing I can give back to my community and help people make their dreams a reality, are two of my biggest goals.
I take pride in helping others. Some of my favorite local organizations are Food Share, American Heart Association, Ventura Land Trust (formerly Ventura Hillsides Conservancy), SPARC: Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center, Community Memorial Hospital (without them I wouldn’t be here), and the Ventura County Rescue Mission to name a few…
I also created a Facebook page in 2013 called GoodNews805 where locals can find details on community events, new businesses opening, charitable fundraisers, and more!
