Having older parents myself, I know the stress that can come with a big move - leaving a home you've been in FOR YEARS. When my folks moved out of a home they'd been in for over 40 years, it was overwhelming to say the least. However, it was the best decision they ever made!

First, we'd have a meeting to discuss your wants and needs. Most of the time, they're simple, like "I just want to switch to a single story home," or "I don't want to have to worry about maintenance any more."
Next, we'll discuss what we can do to prepare your home for sale; this is often the hardest part. You see, when a buyer comes into a home, they want to be able to picture themselves living there. Many times, if the home is too personalized to the current owners, it can deter prospective buyers. I can help guide you as to which items should perhaps go into storage or the garage until you're ready to move into your new home. It can be hard to take family photos off the wall and put your favorite treasures away, but trust me, it really helps.
I will also set you up with a custom property search, direct from the MLS, so you'll be alerted as soon as a property meeting your specific criteria comes on the market. These days, we'll need to act fast - so we'll be sure we have your financing in order as well. I have some great lenders to get you pre-approved so we're ready to act as soon as we find that perfect home!
But it doesn't end there - I'll help arrange home inspections, appraisals if necessary, obtain estimates for repairs, get all of the paperwork taken care of, and help you negotiate the absolute BEST price possible for your new home. Once your offer is accepted, I'll help coordinate your move - I have a great referral for that too!
